Defining Divya was founded in 2016 by Zakiya Chikwendu

I started this business without a real direction. I knew I wanted to use wire. I knew sterling silver was a must. But I didn’t know who could want my creations or where to find them. After five years in college and slowly finding the path I want my business to take, I’m ready to say Defining Divya is here. Now, I’m in graduate school, and have a clear direction so that I can be better for you.

Defining Divya is for you. Being able to share me with you is all I want from this small business. I want to bring you unique designs, and stories to tell with your custom jewelry. Working with you to make what you desire just right.

This all started in a dorm freshman year as a literal dream, and now it’s all I want to do. I want to bring joy with each creation someone wears. I want to utilize the very real energies that natural gemstones have to help heal and support those who are looking. Most importantly, I want to share my passion for beauty and hard work with all of you.
